XYLAN Usage
Xylan (xylan) is a kind of poly pentacarbohydrate, which is a kind of hemicellulose and widely exists in the cell walls of plants. xylan is a carbohydrate that is second only to cellulose in nature. The structural unit of xylan is xylose. The long chain of xylose linked by the xylanoside bond becomes the main chain. Some of the groups in the main chain are replaced by side chain groups. These side chain groups include acetyl group, arabinose group, galactose group, glucuronide group, coumaric acid, ferulic acid, and so on. The remaining components, such as cellulose, lignin, and pectin, are joined together to form a dense structure, which together form the supporting framework of the plant.
