2,2,6,6-Tetramethyl-4-piperidinol Usage
1. It is used as the main intermediate of hindered amine light stabilizer and synthesis hindered amine light stabilizer. It can also be used as an important intermediate of medicine, bleaching agent, epoxy resin crosslinking agent and other products.
2. Tetramethyl piperidine alcohol is an important intermediate in the synthesis of hindered amine light stabilizers. It is a white crystal powder at room temperature. It can be dissolved in ethanol, and other organic solvents. It is slightly soluble in water and has hygroscopicity. It also has the function of light stabilization and has important use in pharmaceuticals.
Hindered amine light stabilizers are the most effective light stabilizers for polymer materials at present. They are a class of organic amine compounds with steric hindrance effect. Most of them are based on 2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-4-piperidine group. In the mid-1970s, a new type of high-efficiency stabilizer developed by Sangong Company of Japan was used for anti-aging of polymer materials such as plastics and rubber. The fixed effect is 2 to 4 times of the traditional absorption light stabilizer, and it has good compatibility with many resins. It is the fastest growing type of stabilizer at present.
